Our ARM office presently writes over 1,000 New York State Department of Motor Vehicle Dealers Bonds. We work closely with the New York Independent Automobile Dealers Association, the dealers who we represent and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.

New York State Dealers Bonds

As of February 2000, all Automobile Dealers licensed in New York State must have a DMV Dealers Bond to operate as a registered dealer. Our office works with insurance companies that will write this bond. All bonds are approved based on a credit report generated by the insurance company. We have a program for those dealers who have less than perfect credit. You need to let us know when you have a bond need if you feel your credit rating may affect your obtaining a bond.

Our office has a brief application that needs to be completed and we have a 24-hour approval process. Once the bond is approved we can have it sent to you in a matter of days.

For the following change of information requests on your NY State Dealers Bond

• Address
• Increase or Decrease in Bond Amount

Please complete the Change of Information Request Form completely and sign twice where indicated. This form must have the signatures of all parties listed on the bond.
